How do I begin selling STAG products?
To become an Authorized STAG Retailer, simply complete our brief retailer application found here: https://stagbeard.com/retailer-application/ — We’ll perform a quick verification of your business information and setup your online Ambassador Portal (wholesale) account. Once set up, you’ll receive an email containing your username and a link to set your password.
What kind of discount do you offer resellers?
Authorized STAG Retailers receive a 50% discount on all products when ordered through the Ambassador Portal, our wholesale website.
Am I required to sign any type of contract?
No. We simply require that you read and abide by the terms and conditions specified in the Retailer Agreement.
Is there a minimum order I have to place?
Yes. We require a $50 minimum order on wholesale purchases. Shipping is free on all orders.
Do you offer some type of starter kit for new retailers?
Yes. Once logged into the Ambassador Portal, you can view the various starter kits we offer to help get you up and running. (Retailers are not required to purchase a starter kit.)
How much do I charge for products?
You may resell our products at whatever price you choose. However, we recommend setting your price point at or around the same retail price we do. Suggested retail prices can be found on each product page on the Ambassador Portal, or you can simply refer to the product page(s) on this website.
Where can I resell products?
That is entirely up to you. Our retailer program is designed for business owners who have an established retail location, but this does not mean individuals cannot resell our products as well, online, at trade shows, craft fairs, and so forth.
(Our full-fledged Independent Ambassador program is scheduled to launch at the beginning of 2020 and will allow individuals to start their very own STAG business direct-selling our products to the public.)
Do I need any type of reseller permit?
Please check your respective state and local laws to determine if and what type of sales permit and/or tax certificate you may need to sell/resell products.
What are your best-selling products and scents?
This is a complicated question to answer, because many factors go into which products sell the most, where, and when. All of our products are great sellers. The most commonly-known beard care products are beard oil and beard balm, but our beard butter is also a top-seller, as is our beard wash. As for shaving products, our safety and straight razors are big sellers, as is our shaving essentials such as pre-shave oil, shaving cream, and after-shave lotion. Remember that your location, price point, and potential customer base will determine which types of products and/or scents sell the best. Older customers often prefer more-traditional scents, like saw mill, barber shop, and tobacco leaf, while younger customers often prefer more-cologne type scents like log cabin, night owl, and gun powder. But again, this can vary drastically. We suggest figuring out what works best for you and your potential customer base.
